Investing in you and your business
In today’s marketplace it is so important that we work together to
make the most out of each and every business. In some cases
this may involve investing within the business to ensure it is the best
in the area where it operates. Investment may range from a small refurbishment
to completely changing the segment of the business by building a kitchen
extension and introducing food.
At Iona we have the benefit from having our own in house
contracts team, headed up by Jim McMillan. This means that
not only do we have a wealth of expertise and experience
at out fingertips, but we have the advantage of being able to complete works
quicker and far more cost effective than if we used external contactors.

The Process |
- Completion of a business plan, setting out the objectives for the
investment. Your BDM can help with this. This will include financial
projections which are essential to assess the viability of any investment.
- Feasibility study by our contracts team. Can we deliver what we need
within the budget?
- Setting out the works in detail, this may involve various meetings
with a designer to talk through the project.
- Pre start meeting at which an investment agreement will be signed.
This is to ensure you are clear on what will and what will not be covered
by the investment. Also any money required for new fixtures and fittings
will be collected.
The whole process may take as little as 4 weeks to as long as 4-6
months depending on the level of investment and whether planning permission
is required. |
